I use the blackhead removing pads, I’ll admit it. From time to time I do. I stick them on my nose mostly, and then I let them dry, and they get all crusty, and then I rip them out. I know, it’s not the smartest way, and it leaves those holes while also actually ripping off a layer of skin, which is definitely not good to say the least. But at the same point in time, it’s so instantly gratifying to see those little sticks sticking up out of the pad, disgusting, but instantly gratifying to say the least. That being said, one thing I do to make up for using these pads is using a good astringent. It’s made up of witch hazel, and I have to hope it’s shrinking up my pores so dirt doesn’t just instantly build back up in there like I know it tends to. I also use lemon, which works as a really good antibacterial to say the least. This definitely helps me to get rid of some acne, get rid of some bacteria, and otherwise help my skin actually. But the best thing to do, actually don’t use those stupid strips in the first place while still using astringents, antibacterials, etc.
