Detox Acne Treatment - December 29th, 2009

Lately, it seems like toxins are blamed for everything.  We blame toxins, because we believe that there must be some other reason why we can’t seem to see success.  We use the best acne treatments, both internal and external.  We use prescriptions, we use natural acne treatments, we use Proactiv, we use the grocery store products, we use Murad, we pay hundreds for something that they “guarantee” will work, and yet we see no results.

So the question is, what are we doing wrong?  What other approach can we take?  And we have come to the conclusion that a detox is the way to go.  It is time to detoxify skin and body, and we believe that toxins account for bacteria in the body that seeps through the skin, making it impossible to control acne with external treatments.

So does it work?  A good detox can really flush out vital organs such as the colon and liver.  They have some ingredients that are more specific to certain organs like for example milk thistle is specifically healthy for the liver while also detoxifying in general.  When used, many report that acne can initially get worse, because they say that the toxins are going out and therefore want to cause as much havoc as possible.

But the thing that should be truly noted is the fact that acne completely dissipates and disappears after that initial few days up to a week as far as we know.  After the toxins get flushed out, while they may initially make acne worse, many have seen results where they could not see results even with something as severe as Accutane.  So yes, a detox can definitely work for acne.
