Now you should never take a testosterone supplement as a woman. There is a reason that even though it’s a disorder to have no testosterone, women can survive and be born without it entirely. We don’t need nearly as much as men, and frankly our bodies can’t handle as much. This being said, a lot of female body builders or obese women tend to have more testosterone running through their bodies, and frankly those going through pre-menopause tend to have the second highest levels of testosterone. Growing older, that creates the imbalance we see with women’s bodies producing more testosterone and less estrogen in general. Those in menopause or post menopause tend to have the highest level of testosterone in their bodies. In women, there are also diseases associated with it. If you have high testosterone levels, you may suffer polycystic ovarian syndrome, ovarian tumors, adrenal gland disorders, gigantism, Conn’s syndrome, dwarfism, and Cushing’s disorder. Also, if you take steroids, obviously you are more likely to suffer a high level of testosterone along with serious acne. Most women with this problem tend to suffer unusual hair growth, acne, increased perspiration, and increased aggression. If you are a woman who has all boy children, you should definitely check your testosterone levels.
