Lavender Oil - September 4th, 2009

Lavender oil is a powerful essential oil that has soothing and healing properties for the skin at large.  It has 50% linalool alcohol, which can kill off bacteria as an antibacterial and work as an antiviral.  It also has the ability to heal burns, wounds, and sores in general.  In addition, lavender oil is actually rich in ketones, which can reduce inflammation and therefore reduce pain as well as acne related inflammation problems.  From there, it uses esters to reduce inflammation, soreness, muscle spasms, fungi, and prevent scarring in general by helping the skin to accelerate its natural healing process.  When gently massaged into the skin or for that matter used in an effective scrub or wash, lavender oil is well capable of helping you to get rid of acne as well as dandruff and various other problems.  It can rejuvenate the skin and give it a whole new life in some cases, and it may also relieve stress, which often contributes to acne in and of itself.  In some ways, lavender oil is a complete solution.  You just have to decide how you are going to make use of it and then go forward in that direction.  But for sure, it will help you to improve your skin and acne problems.
