Not So Good Vibrations - June 25th, 2009

My computer is killing me.  Thats what I have been told, anyway.  There are those who believe that the vibration of the electronics around us are disturbing our natural biological rhythms.  If that is true then I will probably soon be dead.

You can buy crystals that are supposed to negate the negative influences on your body of modern electronics.  I wonder how much truth there is to all of that.  We are definitely a fine tuned electrical system, with millions of subtle electronic impulses controlling our every move.  I just think about a simple activity like typing, and it takes probably thousands of these impulses to move my fingers just right so that the right keys are pressed instead of  tel;askjsda;flkasjf;laskdj.

I am pretty sure, however, that our bodies are pretty good at self regulating these impulses, and that the influences of a device, like, say, my laptop, are not so great as to have any lasting effect.  Maybe that is why I feel drawn to my laptop.  Perhaps I have spent so much time sitting here typing and surfing that my body has adapted its electrical system to the vibrations given out by my computer.

There just may be truth in this whole idea, but if there is we are all in trouble, because the electronics are not going away any time soon.
