Redmond Clay - June 9th, 2009

Found largely in Southern Utah, Redmond clay was discovered by the Bosshardt family.  They found that in the 1960’s, they could use it to treat upset stomachs, bee stings, and multiple other ailments of sorts.  They started selling it as a family business under the name of Redmond clay.  They have since used it to treat burns, diaper rash, tightening the skin, and even as a detoxifying bath.  It generally is said to pull and tighten the skin.

When it bulls toxins from the skin, it naturally gets at one of the major sources of acne.  But they say it specifically uses bentonite, which uses negatively charged particles that pull the positively charged toxins from the skin.  They also claim it call kill viruses, molds, pesticides, and herbacides.  It has various uses in all kinds of products, including natural farming products.  However, in terms of skin, it is generally used to treat infections in general, and it can also apparently shrink pores, treat acne spots, and reduce infection.  With a soothing effect after toxins are extracted as well as a cooling sensation in general, Redmond clay can have various benefits to the user, at any age and in any form it seems.  It continues to be found in only a few products and sold only through the Bosshardt family at this time.
