PTFE tubing is a type of fluoropolymer tubing. It has many different uses, and frankly most of them are with small businesses, whether in construction, the food business, or other fields in general. Its best known use has been in the early years of steel and chemical processing. Basically speaking, they are safe and don’t corrode, bend, or otherwise the way that many would.
It has thermal qualities, meaning it can handle extreme temperatures to say the least. It has electrical qualities, being able to really keep electricity from spreading and causing problems where it’s not wanted. It contains things basically. It has UV and radiation qualities, keeping it both inside and outside depending on where it was in the first place.
Basically speaking, right now it is mostly used to address bridge bearing pads, pipe support pads, and mounting pads for heavy machinery and manufacturing in general. So there are many different uses for PTFE tubing. It’s just a matter of you finding them and using them properly. But in its general fields, you really shouldn’t be using anything else.
